Best Spas And Saunas in Europe

Spas and saunas have huge health benefits. In this article you will find some of the most epic spas around Europe based around promoting healthy, conscious living. You will also be introduced to the Renegade’s Sauna Ritual to help you manifest the life you want.

Lanserhof – Germany and Austria

Self described as “Europe`s most modern health resort”, Lanserhof actually combines a luxurious spa experience with medical knowledge. Doctors and specialists create treatments tailored to clients and they also have special guests offering unique treatments. They seek the balance between body and soul, helped with cutting edge medical resources. The perfect mix between traditional naturopathy and medicine. Lanserhof has won many awards and has a few locations, always in the middle of amazing nature. Among many different treatments, the spa bases some of their experiences on the philosophy of F.X. Mayr, a doctor who lived to be 95 in a time where this was very rare (he died in 1965). His philosophy is all about diet and cleansing. It`s rooted in 3 elements:

  • Rest – By reducing food intake you’ll be giving your digestive system a break
  • Cleanse – Purification of the digestive system
  • Training – Learning to eat consciously, peacefully and with awareness

The spa treatments are meant to compliment the cleansing. By fully detoxifying your self you’ll be less likely to suffer from health issues since one of the main causes of disease is the overload of the digestive system and deposits in the bowels.

The Renegade Pharmacist’s Sauna Ritual

You might only visit this places a few times in your life, however you can reach amazing benefits from any spa and sauna by following some simple steps based on my own results and the current research out there:

  1. Take 500 mg niacin, have my special alpha omega smoothie, 30 minutes before working out.
  2. Exercise for 15 – 20 minutes. Usually rotate between the 7 minute work out and 7 minutes on the cross trainer or 7 minutes doing weights.
  3. Yoga sun salutations with simple yoga stretches for 5-10 minutes
  4. Enter sauna. Do SOMA meditation which consists of pranayama breathing techniques and visualization techniques. Learn more about it here. Minimum two 20 min dry sauna sessions at 80-100C with 15-20 minute cooling period in between. 3-4 times a week.
  5. After the sauna I will go straight into a ice plunge pool and repeat the extended exhalation breathwork exercise in the cold water for about 5 minutes.

If you want to know what happens to your body, in more detail, when you go to the sauna and why I recommend it so much you can also read this article.
