What Is Kratom?
What is Kratom? Well, Kratom has been used in native Thailand and Indonesia as a sacred plant medicine for thousands of years. However it was banned by the Thai government back in 1943, who openly admit that Kratom affected tax revenues from the opium trade! It was not banned for any other reason, other than loss of income for the government, because people were switching from opiates in favor of this incredible plant, called Kratom, or Ketum, as it is called in native Thailand.
In the words of Police Major General Pin Amornwisaisoradej, on 7 January 1943: “Taxes for opium are high while kratom is currently not being taxed. With the increase of those taxes, people are starting to use kratom instead and this has had a visible impact on our government’s income.”
The Transnational Institute, an international research and advocacy institute committed to building a just, democratic and sustainable planet. goes into depth studying what is Kratom’s real risk based on the long term traditional use of the plant in Thailand and makes a strong case for decriminalisation of the plant.
‘There is a general consensus among community members and leaders, academics and policymakers, as well as public health and law enforcement representatives in southern Thailand that kratom use and dependence carry little, if any, health risks. In general, people reported that Kratom (use and dependence) is less harmful than heroin, yaba, cannabis and even alcohol.’
What Is Kratom’s Current Legal Status in the USA?
Kratom is currently illegal in only 6 states in the US. However both the FDA and DEA desperately want to remove it. What the US does tends to influence other governments around the world, so I am keeping a careful eye on the FDA and DEA’s stance on Kratom. The UK came up with a insane law called the Psychoactive Substances Act in 2016 and Kratom is supposedly falls under this new law.
This law banned all substances that are psychoactive, apart from alcohol, nicotine, caffeine and pharmaceuticals. A total disaster, making UK appear to be one of the most archaic countries in the world, with many authorities and politicians highly opposed to this law, as it even prevents research into many natural medicines that could hold the cure for a wide range of conditions, especially cancer and depression.
Why and how can any government be allowed to ban natural plants? Putting a ban on nature is ridiculous and on par with burning witches at the stake. I can understand wanting to control Kratom, if it was a synthetic drug with many side effects, i.e Oxycodone, but it is not.
What is Kratom’s threat to Big Pharma and why do Governments fear it?
What is Kratom’s biggest threat to Big Pharma? The unfortunate truth for drug companies, the peddlers of extremely harmful narcotics like Oxycodone, is that Kratom’s medicinal benefits are many times more effective with little to no side effects compared to medications for numerous conditions, including depression, chronic pain, anxiety and inflammatory bowel diseases like ulcerative colitis. This makes Kratom an obvious threat to those heavily invested in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the areas of opiate analgesics, such as the Sackler’s…
Meet The Sackler’s, The World’s Biggest, Richest and Most Horrific Drug Pushers, That No One Knows About…
The Sackler’s happen to be the proud owners of the patent and manufacturers, and marketing wizards of one of the worlds most profitable drugs of all time, Oxycontin. Oxycontin unfortunately also happens to be one of the most deadliest drugs ever created.
The Esquire reveals in a fantastic ‘tell all’ investigation of the Sackler empire:
‘Since 1996, when the drug was brought to market by Purdue Pharma, the American branch of the Sacklers’ pharmaceutical empire, more than two hundred thousand people in the United States have died from overdoses of OxyContin and other prescription painkillers. Thousands more have died after starting on a prescription opioid and then switching to a drug with a cheaper street price, such as heroin.’
So much for calling cannabis a gateway drug to harder drugs like heroin! It’s really those legal prescription pain killers that everyone should be concerned about! Prince and Michael Jackson I am sure would both concur, being victims of opiate addiction and overdose.
‘According to the Centers for Disease Control, fifty-three thousand Americans died from opioid overdoses in 2016, more than the thirty-six thousand who died in car crashes in 2015 or the thirty-five thousand who died from gun violence that year. This past July, Donald Trump’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis, led by New Jersey governor Chris Christie, declared that opioids were killing roughly 142 Americans each day, a tally vividly described as “September 11th every three weeks.” The epidemic has also exacted a crushing financial toll: According to a study published by the American Public Health Association, using data from 2013—before the epidemic entered its current, more virulent phase—the total economic burden from opioid use stood at about $80 billion, adding together health costs, criminal-justice costs, and GDP loss from drug-dependent Americans leaving the workforce.’
September 11th every three weeks = opioid epidemic! War on terror?? The real terror is coming from the pharmaceutical companies peddling these dangerous drugs!
‘Even so, hardly anyone associates the Sackler name with their company’s lone blockbuster drug. “The Fords, Hewletts, Packards, Johnsons—all those families put their name on their product because they were proud,” said Keith Humphreys, a professor of psychiatry at Stanford University School of Medicine who has written extensively about the opioid crisis. “The Sacklers have hidden their connection to their product. They don’t call it ‘Sackler Pharma.’ They don’t call their pills ‘Sackler pills.’ And when they’re questioned, they say, ‘Well, it’s a privately held firm, we’re a family, we like to keep our privacy, you understand.’
The Sacklers are now aging gracefully as billionaires but just like any billionaire, millionaire or pauper, they will go to the grave with exactly the same thing they came with, absolutely nothing – however in the case of the Sackler’s, will they carry one thing that sets them apart from most others – an extremely guilty conscience? Or may be not, perhaps they don’t really care, and would rather not take any responsibility for the damage they have caused. Perhaps they started off with noble intentions, as do many of the world’s elite, and believed they were doing great work at helping people? However they were also the marketing brains behind Valium…
‘In the 1960s, Arthur was contracted by Roche to develop an advertising strategy for a new antianxiety medication called Valium. This posed a challenge, because the effects of the medication were nearly indistinguishable from those of Librium, another Roche tranquilizer that was already on the market. Arthur differentiated Valium by audaciously inflating its range of indications. Whereas Librium was sold as a treatment for garden- variety anxiety, Valium was positioned as an elixir for a problem Arthur christened “psychic tension.” According to his ads, psychic tension, the forebear of today’s “stress,” was the secret culprit behind a host of somatic conditions, including heartburn, gastrointestinal issues, insomnia, and restless-leg syndrome. The campaign was such a success that for a time Valium became America’s most widely prescribed medication—the first to reach more than $100 million in sales. Arthur, whose compensation depended on the volume of pills sold, was richly rewarded, and he later became one of the first inductees into the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame.’ reported by the Esquire.
Valium the brand name of a benzodiazepine called diazepine, is also responsible for the loss of millions of lives to addiction and death. ‘Psychic tension’ can more safely be treated by simple techniques like yoga, breathwork and meditation.
Marketing benzos as a ‘cure all’ for a problem that is more related to emotional stress and societal issues, is a huge crime against humanity and far worse than any threat of terror from a rebel state.
However if the Sackler’s want some help clearing their conscience and karmic debt, they can speak to the Renegade Pharmacist, I have the best source of the pharmaceutical empire’s worst nightmare, that could be the rest of the world’s great salvation, Kratom…
What Is The Pharmacological Action Of Kratom?
Kratom has both opioid and psychostimulant-like subjective effects. The phytochemicals isolated from various parts of the kratom tree include over 40 structurally related alkaloids.
This alkaloid is the one responsible for analgesic activity that has been linked to kratom use mostly due to its potent opioid agonist property.
Although mitragynine can act on the mu (μ), kappa (κ), and delta (δ) opioid receptors, it is structurally different from morphine and other components from the opioid family.
Serotonergic and adrenergic pathways have also been involved in the effects of mitragynine, mostly due to its broad affinity to different receptors.
Kratom has an interesting and distinctly different range of effects based on the dose taken.
At low to moderate dose (1–5 g) it has a mild pleasant stimulant effect; at moderate-high dose (5–15 g) the compound has opioid-like analgesia and sedation.
The antispasmodic, gut-soothing and anti-diarrhoeal effects work at the low doses of 1-5g, as well as the nootropic effects of more motivation, anxiety relief and anti-depressant.
What Is The Potential Side Effects and Toxicology Of Kratom
The adverse side effects of Kratom reported includes elevated blood pressure, nephrotoxic effects, impaired cognition and behaviour, dependence potential, and hepatic failure, however these seem to be at extremely high doses many times higher than you would normally take for therapeutic effects.
Side effects event at high doses are much milder and reverse quickly when use is stopped compared to opiates like morphine and oxycodone.
What Is Kratom’s Risk Profile and Can You Die From Taking Kratom?
According the report from The Transnational Institute, from their study over 1000s of years of traditional use of Kratom in Thailand, there are no known deaths associated from just taking kratom alone.
In a some what embarrassing recent report of Kratom risk potential done by the FDA themselves, they undermine their own conclusions about Kratom’s safety by stating that of the 44 deaths reported from Kratom use (wow big deal 44, compared to 200,000+ for Oxycontin) every one of them was taking a plethora of other substances, including prescription pain killers! One of the deaths reported the poor guy hung himself! So how on earth can you put the blame on Kratom, when they were taking substances with known risks of death? This is not a conspiracy, its a damn right obvious attempt of a government agency clearly with big ties to Big Pharma, trying to brainwash a nation against a life saving plant!
Leo Beletsky, an associate professor of law and health sciences at Northeastern University, challenges the FDA’s studies making a clear point that they do not hold up to any scientific scrutiny…
‘“You have to identify and isolate the effect of the drug, and the only real way to do that is through randomized controlled trials or really robust observational evidence,” he said. “We don’t have that.”
‘Beletsky admitted there was still a lot of “uncertainty” surrounding kratom, and said it warrants further research to better understand its full range of effects and possible harms. But considering there are an estimated 3 to 5 million kratom users around the U.S., according to industry figures, he added that the relatively low number of supposed kratom-related deaths even in questionable cases like these could actually suggest that kratom is not very harmful.’
The Key Difference Between Kratom and Opioids
It is still not clear whether to class Kratom as an opioid, which is FDA’s strategy to ban the substance. Opioids kill people because mostly they cause respiratory depression. A recent report published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association suggests that kratom is “much less harmful than prescription opioids.” because it does not trigger respiratory depression. If you take too much opiates you stop breathing and die. If you take too much Kratom, which is no easy to do, because you only need a tea spoon to get the effects, like 5 teaspoons in one go and you may either fall asleep or vomit. The room might spin a bit, but you have probably had hangovers that are much worse!
The Renegade Pharmacist’s Verdict
Kratom is actually the same family of plants as coffee. It does not taste as good as coffee, but unlike caffeine found in coffee, but not present in Kratom, you do not get jittery side effects, just the uplifting mood enhancing, energy boosting buzz. In fact everything is better on a teaspoon of Kratom. It helps keep my ulcerative colitis at bay, including several of my friends who I have recommended it to. My creativity and productivity is astonishingly enhanced as a result of Kratom. My relationships are better, my moods are higher, life is generally a lot better now I am taking a relatively small daily dose of Kratom. My gut was severely damaged by ulcerative colitis and it took a long time to regain my full power and strength, and even a small impact of inevitable emotional stress could make my bowels suffer and lower my energy levels. Kratom solves this problem, and the best thing of all it a daily dose costs pennies, if you get it from the source I recommend.
I Need Your Help!
I am putting a lot of my focus on making more awareness for Kratom, Cannabis and Psilocibin known to the world. These natural substances can transform our planet, end diseases and make people more creative and productive. But first we must expose the blatant conspiracy to keep these life saving plants away from us. For that to happen we must come together and support proper medical research into these potentially life saving plants. For that we need legalization, or at the very least decriminalisation.
Any billionaires or millionaires wanting to go to the grave with peace of mind, who are reading this right now and who want to support my ‘renegade’ mission, get in touch!
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Kratom does have side effects although mild, it is best to stay with a dose of 1-2g no more than three times a day (if you can handle it, for more severe issues like chronic pain or urgency to move bowels in ulcerative colits for example) or 1-2g once or twice a day, for productivity, irritable bowel, anxiety and less severe symptoms. Side effects of long term use may include one of more of the following: tolerance (needing a higher dose to get same effects) thirst, constipation, dizzyness and at high doses of 3g+, you may get nausea. You will normally throw up before consuming a too high a dose for your body to handle. Stay hydrated and don’t mix Kratom with excessive alcohol, depressants, benzos, antidepressants, high dose opiates and recreational drugs. Take plant medicines safely and responsibly. All you need is one idiot to spoil it for everyone else! Peace, The Renegade P x
