• 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tbs apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup torn salad greens
  • 1 avocado -peeled, pitted and sliced
  • 5 strawberries – in slices
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans


In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, vinegar, and lemon juice and set aside. Slice the avocado and strawberries into thin slices and place in a separate bowl with the torn salad greens. Drizzle the dressing over the ingredients then sprinkle lightly with pecans. Refrigerate for up to 2 hours before serving for a crisper salad.

Utilising both strawberries and avocados into a salad makes for a great balance of sweet and savoury flavours. The use of apple cider vinegar and fresh lemon juice as a dressing has an alkalizing effect on the system. This further prevents the formation of diseases and illnesses as they are known to thrive in an acidic environment. Overall this salad makes for a very clean, raw meal option and avoids the use of pre-packaged salad dressings and refined ingredients.
