What is the Wim Hof Method?
The Wim Hof Method is a method that combines specific breathing techniques, cold exposure and mind-set techniques, coupled with physical excercies. It has been developed over the sum of thirty years by Wim Hof, who has taught and developed these in nature. It’s a natural method to improve health and well-being.

How To Use Breathwork Music With The Wim Hof Method
Lie down or sit in a comfortable, upright position with your back straight in a place where you will not be disturbed. Play the music through your headphones or speakers.
Instructions for the method:
- Power Breathing: Deep rhythmical breathwork for 30-40 cycles. Count to a 4/4 beat – In 2,3,4 Out, 2,3,4. Breathing deeply from your belly, chest and then into your head. The exhalation should have no force, just let go and relax. Use your mouth or your nose. Making a ocean like sound can make the breath smoother. You can use your hands to guide your breathing. This super charges your body with vital oxygen. You may feel tingly like a current of energy is passing through you.
- Breathhold After Exhalation: Hold your breath for as long as comfortable. Relax your body into a deep meditative state. Use this time to direct the energy from power breathing or to meditate on an intention. This floods O2 into your cells, dilates blood vessels and opens up new capillaries that supply fresh blood to your organs, especially your brain.
- Breathhold After Inhalation: When you can no longer hold your breath, take a big inhalation, breathing fully from belly, chest and into your head. Then hold your breath in for 20s or as long as comfortable.
- This is 1 round. Begin a new round and repeat for a total of 4 rounds. Do this in the morning to supercharge your mind and body for the day ahead.
Do not do this while operating machinery or in water, as you will likely get hurt, and we don’t want that 🙂
Wim Hof Breathwork Journey
This special piece of music was composed by Niraj Naik AKA The Renegade Pharmacist & Dave Dunn from amAya with Wim Hof and one of his trainers, Joren de Bruin who plays the mesmerizingly beautiful hang drum track. Joren is a former dutch premiership professional footballer who was plagued by injury and healed himself using the Wim Hof Method when everything else failed.
This is a 20 minute sonic journey from the music inspired by Native Americans through to the hypnotic soothing sounds of electronic trance and ambient. The music was recorded by Niraj Naik & Dave Dunn at Wim Hof’s retreat in Holland, with additional guitars by Mrigank Mishra from amAya.
