The benefits of the morning breathwork ritual:

This breathwork is composed of 3 phases:

Phase 1: Power breathing (for 27-30 cycles)

This floods your body with vital oxygen, cleanses your blood stream, and activates the largest lymph gland in your body that is located in your chest.

The lymph is your drainage system for clearing out toxins from your body. Unlike your blood stream that has your heart as a pump, the lymph needs movement or exercise for it to drain properly. So breathing is essential to moving your lymph and this phase helps do that effectively.

If done in the correct rhythm it also optimises blood flow to your brain from your heart.

Phase 2: Breath hold on Exhale (for as long as comfortable)

This creates a state called intermittent hypoxia. This is a positive stress response that produces feel good hormones like dopamine. It improves blood flow to your brain and heart by dilating your blood vessels. It helps you build resilience to stress. If a low enough oxygen level is reached stem cells (that can turn into any other cell and stimulate repair and healing) can be activated in your body, however this should be attempted after receiving proper guidance and lots of practice.

Phase 3: Breath hold on Inhale (for up to 30s)

This completes the routine and helps to reset the body back to normal oxygen levels. At the same time it boosts blood flow to the brain and stimulates the release of positive hormones.

Do this exercise for 1-2 rounds per day in the morning!
