A wonderful and popular face mask is one featuring a combination of honey and avocado. Honey is one of the greatest natural moisturisers as it allows moisture to lock into the skin through its powerful “humectant” properties, avocado maskmeaning it attracts and retains moisture. Honey also contains antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, along with a high content of essential vitamins and minerals. Avocado is packed with essential nutrients and has a long history of being featured in many commercial beauty products. Avocado is easily absorbed into the skin and deeply nourishes and cleanses by removing dead skin cells.

The best part is both of these ingredients are direct from nature and each packed with skin healing properties and protecting antioxidants. This mask is great for mature or wrinkled skin in particular.

RECIPE

Ingredients:

½ avocado

¼ cup honey

Preparation:

It’s best to use ripe, fresh, organic avocados. Mash the avocado up in a bowl, ensuring the mixture is beaten into a creamy pulp. Stir in the honey. Apply the mask to the skin, avoiding the eyes and relax for ten minutes while the natural mixture rejuvenates your skin. Rinse off with luke-warm water and dry with a cool, clean face towel. For even deeper moisturization apply a light layer of coconut oil after the application of the mask.
