This article is about NMN or nicotinamide mononucleotide a precursor to NAD+ that stimulates DNA repair in cells. NMN can mimic the restorative effects of exercise, rejuvenating muscle tissue and other cells.
It has been shown to dramatically reverse aging in mice, changing their cells from the equivalent of a 60-year-old human to a 30-year-old!
For many years Nicotinamide Mononucleotide has been available as a supplement that you can purchase from health food stores and places like Amazon.
The precursor to NMN is actually Niacin or more commonly known as Vitamin B3.
A team of scientists led by Dr David Sinclair (MetroBiotech) are trying to turn NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) into a drug, that will most likely be very expensive and only accessible to the very rich and privileged.
They are also currently working with NASA to help astronauts reach Mars safely using this ‘drug’.
My question is, why not do trials on the way more inexpensive Niacin? Niacin already has been researched to have numerous health benefits, much wider than taking just NMN alone.
Is this another Pharma industry attempt to make a serious payday by creating a new anti-aging miracle wonder pill, when you could quite easily just take Niacin?
Here is my infographic on Niacin with a link to the full article below:
